How many mysql databases can an account have.
I am running a bbs on one of my accounts and
wish to replace that bbs with a newer one.

Because the bbs are different I will not be able
to dump and upload the info. Fortunately, the
bbs is not too old, has only 18 members. But
it is begining to rapidly out grouw the lower end
bbs.

So what propose to do is have a second mysql dbms and
cut and paste threads. I can do the same for the membership
info. Members will have to log on initially to get cookied again.
When I finish moving everything, I can then get rid of the extra
not needed mysql database. Unless of course there is a better
way to do all of the above? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Jose, it is three for free and after that each extra one costs $5.00. Here (http://www.hostmatters.com/plans.html) is the link to the hosting plans. It shows at the bottom.

Of course, you can cheat a bit if you have a couple of small databases, you could just use the same database and just use the tables.

Is the $5 a one time charge .. or a monthly charge?

Actually, on the new systems, the B1000 starts out with three, and one is added to each plan as you move up. Additional mySQL databases on the new systems will be $2/month.
