I just purchased Vbulletin for my Power Memorial Academy web site.
What do I do first. Create a MySql db or does Vbulletin do it for me.
My quess is that I must first create the mysql db so that it at least
has a password etc... But leave it blank. Then allow Vbulletin to
do whatever it does with mysql. I am very newbie at this.

Just go into your admin panel straight to mySOL and install. Then (give it a few minutes) Install your vBulletin.

Trijnie is correct. The mySQL option from the control panel will actually install the database. Walking through the vB install script will set up and populate the tables. You will then be able to log in as an admin and customize the forum to your liking.

Trijnie, is that a picture of you?

Thank you all for your great advice.
I will have only a few more billion questions in the near future.

Yes, that is me. After seeing other avatars (dog, logo) I first decided to use a photo of our dog but Marty made me changed my mind abut that one. :)
