I have managed to set up the shopping card from Mal's e-commerce on a client's site and configured the pay portion of it to be collected by COD or a phone call to accept the credit card info. This will be just a trial thing locally, but if he should decide to actually take credit cards later, I need to know what I need to do to impliment this. He already has a Merchant's A/C as he accepts credit cards at his store. Mal's says I can't pick up the info without a secure browser. What does all this mean? I see that I can apply and install a certificate from Verisign through the control panel at Hostingmatters, but could someone tell me what all I have to do to make this happen? I'm completely in the dark, and I'd like to know just what I need to do in the future. Thanks for any advice anyone has to offer.
