View Full Version : hosting matters supports any shopping cart software?

i've never set up a shopping cart before and was wondering if i can use any type of shopping cart software or does hostmatters only support certain ones? my client wants to use authorize.net as their gateway and they have a specific list of ones they support. can anyone help guide me? i am clueless. thanks. :D

As far as I know, you can use whatever type you want, as long as it fits the specifics of your hosting plan. There is at least one (possibly more) shoopingcart included in Fantastico - and that's accessible from your cPanel, but nothing says you gotta use that.

I've been looking at osCommerce and have toyed around with it already, but recent developments have pushed that project back for me.

Since all plans except the smallest one support php, cgi, etc, you shouldn't have too much limits when selecting a cart, unless you want a cart that runs specifically on windows servers, since all HM servers a *nix based afaik.
